Hi I’m Ryleah,
Now you’re probably wondering… how does someone even end up in this very niche role nestled somewhere between events and design? Well, I’m here to tell you!
Born and raised in Edmonton, AB, I moved to Vancouver in 2013 to study interior design at the Visual College of Art and Design. I’ve always been drawn to more creative disciplines and wanted to explore my entrepreneurial spirit – so, at 24, I started my own business: Ryleah Shae Creative.
With a vision of pushing creative boundaries, I designed a role for myself that doesn’t always fit perfectly into one box – and that’s just the way I like it! With a convergence of my backgrounds in hospitality, marketing and design, I sought out to amplify and elevate digital-facing brands and empower them to stand out in the physical space.
With purpose and curiosity at the helm, let’s make your biggest dreams a reality – shall we!?
I can’t wait to connect!
Sincerely,
Ryleah
FUN FACTS
I got my hands dirty on my first design project at 15 when I was finally given full reign to give my bedroom a makeover. I painted the walls (myself) a deep purple, baseboards black, and found a black chandelier I was absolutely in LOVE with
In 2020, I applied and was accepted into Apartment Therapy's “Small Cool Contest” and listed my apartment as a “Playful, Flirty, Uplifting Small/Cool Space”. If you come to visit, you’ll find a pistachio green dartboard in the living room and a decent art collection from some of Vancouver’s finest.
At age 5, I declared to my mom that I was going to be an artist when I grew up! Although I never attended extracurricular art classes, you could find me playing defence in soccer, diving two times a week, and taking jazz dance growing up.
My good friends call me Ryles, describe my personal closet as geriatric chic, and beg me to stop singing in the car.
